After years of buying frozen waffles, we finally took the plunge and purchased a waffle maker. We talk about the waffle maker in our blog post, “No More Frozen Waffles”. It was more of a purchase for the kids, so we needed an easy waffle and pancake mix for them. As it turns out, not only is it easy for them, but it makes for a quick meal in the morning before work too!
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Pour into an air-tight or sealed container
On your container, write: In a bowl add 1 1/2 cups of mix, 1 1/4 c milk, 1 egg, add optionals.
*If you do not have butter milk, you can just add 1 1/4 cups of regular milk.
When ready to make pancakes or waffles, follow your directions on the container. Then add your completed mix to a hot griddle, skillet, or waffle iron. Cook for length of time desired. YUM!
